Tech Reviews
Tested in our own workshop. Scored without the hype.
We buy the kit, plug it in, and tell you what actually works. No scores that all hover at 8/10. No rewritten press releases. UK prices in £, UK-relevant testing, and a verdict we'd stake our own money on.

How we work
Reviewing FAQs
The questions readers ask us most about how we test, score, and disclose.
- How do you decide which products to review?
- We pick what people are actually shopping for in the UK — informed by Amazon best-seller lists, Reddit threads, and reader requests. We buy the product, test it, and write the review whether the brand likes the outcome or not.
- Do you accept review units from brands?
- Occasionally, but the editorial scoring is unaffected. If a brand supplies a unit, we disclose it at the top of the review. Brands cannot pay for a positive score and we have killed reviews that did not meet the bar.
- How does the score work?
- Each review carries a 0-10 editorial score. 9.0+ is Editor's Pick territory. 7-8 is solid for the price. Below 6 means we would not buy it ourselves. The score weights real-world performance, value for money, and how it compares to category alternatives.
- Are the affiliate links biased?
- Yes, in the sense that we earn commission when you buy through them. No, in the sense that the score and verdict are written before we attach the link. Read our affiliate disclosure for the full breakdown.
- Why do some reviews not have prices listed?
- Prices fluctuate constantly. Every "buy" button in our reviews fetches the live Amazon UK price at the moment you click. Hardcoding a price would mean lying to you within hours.
