Planning ahead
These cover what to expect from the big sale events, and what usually is not worth waiting for.
Before you buy a deal
- Check the final total at checkout, with delivery and any offer conditions. A price in a search result, a social post or a bookmark can be out of date by the time you click.
- Any saving Amazon shows is Amazon's own figure. Check what it is measured against before you treat it as the reason to buy.
- Check the seller and the returns terms. "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon" and a third-party seller can sit on the same listing with very different terms.
- Check whether the offer you have selected is new, used or Renewed. They often sit on the same listing, and the cheapest one is not always new.
- Check the exact model. Listings group sizes, colours and capacities together, and the cheapest variant is often not the one in the headline.
