Free PC tools, each one built to settle a single question

6 tools, no sign-up, no email wall. Each card below says what the tool answers, who it is for, and what it will not do, so you can pick the right one without opening three of them first. They run on the same research and the same catalogue as our reviews.

How these tools work, and what they will not do

Every tool here runs on a small piece of shared logic rather than on a page of its own arithmetic. The same code that sizes a power supply on the calculator sizes it inside a graphics card review, so the two surfaces cannot quietly disagree about the same build. Where a figure comes from a manufacturer specification we say so, and where it comes from our own catalogue the date is on the page.

What they will not do is pretend to certainty they have not got. The streaming checker reports what each VPN provider publishes rather than claiming we streamed it ourselves. The power tools size against transient spikes, which is a modelled peak and not a measurement off a bench. When we do not hold the figures for a part, the tool says nothing instead of borrowing a number from a similar part, which is why some pages carry no tool at all.

They are free because the recommendations underneath them link to products we may earn a commission on. That never changes which product comes out on top: the ordering rules are the same whatever the commission looks like, and they are written down in how we review and how we score.

Once you have your answer

A number on its own does not buy anything. These are the pages the tools hand off to.
