For coursework that lives in Google Docs and a browser, the Chromebook Plus 514 CB514-5H is quick and simple to live with. If the course needs Windows software, the Aspire Go 15 AG15-42P gives 16GB of RAM, and the Aspire 16 is worth stretching to for its OLED screen and a longer useful life.
Light editing, yes, on the right one. The Aspire 16 with its Core Ultra 5 125H, Arc graphics and 16GB of RAM is the only laptop here we would use for regular photo or short video work. The N150 and ChromeOS machines are built for browsing, documents and streaming, and none of these laptops has a dedicated graphics card for heavy rendering or gaming.
