Monitors move on price more than any other category we track, which is why panels that looked expensive in May are routinely 30% cheaper by August. We watch the UK Amazon price on every monitor we have reviewed and record it whenever it changes.

Every drop on this page is measured against a price we recorded ourselves, and we show you the date we recorded it. We do not print the old figure: Amazon's terms let us publish a current price, not a history of past ones. We never compare against a manufacturer's RRP or a retailer's reference price either.

How we work out a drop

  • A product appears here only when today's price is below the highest price we recorded for that exact listing in the last 90 days. That baseline is our own observation, and the date we took it is printed on the card.
  • We do not print that older price, or the size of the drop. Amazon's terms allow us to display a current price rather than a historical one, and the size of a drop against a printed price is simply the old price written another way. A dated claim without the figure is the honest version of this page.
  • A drop has to clear both 5% and £1 before we will show it. Percentages alone let trivial moves on cheap products look dramatic.
  • We record a price whenever it changes rather than on a fixed daily schedule, so our history is deeper on products that move more. The card tells you how many prices sit behind its claim.
  • The current price is verified within the last 6 hours, and anything showing out of stock is removed before the page renders.
  • We never carry across a manufacturer RRP, a launch price or a retailer reference price. If we have not seen a price ourselves, we do not quote it.
