The editor

Mehdi R is the owner of Vivid Repairs and the editor signing off on every review and guide on this site. With over 20 years working in the UK tech industry — across consumer hardware, enterprise IT support, and small-business technical services — Mehdi sets the editorial standard, validates the data sources we draw from, and signs off on every article before it ships.

That means Mehdi takes personal responsibility for the editorial decisions on this site: which products we recommend, which we don't, what counts as honest research, and what claims we will and won't make. If a review on this site doesn't meet that standard, it doesn't publish. If something gets through that shouldn't have, the buck stops here.

Why this site exists

UK tech buyers are well-served by big international reviewer sites for premium gear but poorly served on the everyday end of the market — the £30 headset, the £150 mini PC, the budget motherboard. Those reviews tend to be either thin marketing copy from affiliate-spam sites or non-existent.

Vivid Repairs covers the products UK buyers actually shop for, with a UK-specific perspective on price, value, warranty, and support. Reviews are built from real data sources — Keepa price history, Amazon Product Advertising API specs, verified-buyer review aggregates, manufacturer documentation — synthesised under editorial direction. How the site is funded

Vivid Repairs is funded by affiliate commissions on the products we recommend. You pay the same price the merchant would charge a direct visitor; the merchant pays us a small cut. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
